Rob was a kind, intelligent, loving and cheerful man who had a knack for making others smile and laugh. Rob leaves to mourn Catherine, his loving wife of 15 years; Jacqueline his beloved daughter; his parents, Bob and Rae Spear; his sisters, Cathi, Ginny, Nancy and Cheryl; his brother Ted; his mother-in-law Nel Trochim; his many nieces and nephews and his extended family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Rob was predeceased by his daughter Vernessa Spear. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 12 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, Aubrey Street entrance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200

I was so sorry to read of Robbie's passing, it was with a heavy heart that I read his obituary. I know our families lost contact, but that does not change all of the fond memories I have of my holidays at the cabin. I can still see all of us playing dress up, and skinny dipping in the pool.
